Question is.. why dont they just make all new characters start at 55? Not saying they should for first time players, but for people that already has max levelled characters, starting from 1 just isn't needed. Prolly isn't needed for first timers either, Azeroth is dead, and Outland will join soon.

Totally agree on you there.

the leveling from 1 to 58 is so timeconsuming. they really should do this now.

Don't think it's necessary to gimp the leveling and make everyone with already a 80 character start leveling a new from 55, no matter what class. And how many times haven't we complained about crap PuG players. They won't learn more about paying their class if they have to level less. Maybe some of them even get filter out because they find the game to hard and never reach level 80?

The nerf to when you can get a mount will increase leveling even more than before. 100% mount at level 40! Flying mount as soon as you are 60 in Outland, with a boosted speed to 150%! Ontop of this the already nerfed amount of XP needed and the boost to XP gained from quests. Skill and mount costs have also been reduced to a price you should be able to afford even if it's your first character on the server.

Leveling my DK in Outland really gave me a supprise on how fast it went. Did Hellfire, Zangar and Nagrand, then she was 68. 3 zones out of 7! I only did Ramparts once, no other instances or boosts. Was just so much faster going solo than finding a PuG and then find the healer and tank, as usual.

Then you have the option to get Heirlooms too.

Really, isn't it just you being too lazy to level?

Only reason Death Knights started at 55 was because Blizzard thought noone or very few would actually reroll if they had to go from level 1. Maybe it would be better to make it a lower starting level on that class?
